Reactive Rover Classes

The primary goal of our Reactive Rover classes is to help improve the behavior of dogs who bark, lunge and growl at other dogs while on leash.

Reactive Rover 1

The primary goal of our Reactive Rover classes is to help improve the behavior of dogs who bark, lunge and growl at other dogs while on leash. This class will help owners better understand their dogs reactivity, and learn management skills to teach their dog to react more appropriately on leash around other dogs.

$425
Prerequisite: Dog Training Basics and instructor permission

Reactive Rover 2: Building Skills

Building Skills class is designed to provide a controlled and supportive environment for dogs who have completed our Reactive Rover 1 class. This class offers a structured, low-pressure setting where handlers and their dogs can continue to work on their counter-conditioning exercises and responses to other dogs and prepare for participation in Reactive Rover 3 classes. New skills, enrichment, and training games will also be introduced to support behavior modification.

With guidance from our trainers, you’ll have the opportunity to practice and refine the techniques introduced in Reactive Rover 1, helping your dog gain more confidence and consistency in their behavior. Owners will receive ongoing feedback and tips for managing and preventing setbacks.

$225, for a 3-week series
Prerequisites: Dog Training Basics Seminar and Reactive Rover 1

Reactive Rover 3: Out & About

This class has been designed specifically for graduates of our Reactive Rover 2 class. This class builds on the skills learned in Reactive Rover 2, brings in additional real-life scenarios to challenge each handler/dog team, includes long-line training, and aims to help improve each individual handler’s confidence in their ability to manage their dog’s reactive behavior. Class sessions are 3 weeks long and held outdoors (weather-permitting).
