ARE YOU WONDERING...

What is Humane Education?

Humane education focuses on the connection between people, animals, and the environment. The education team at Seattle Humane pursues the organization’s mission to promote the human-animal bond by inviting schools and families to be part of our life-saving work.

What We Offer

Our staff and volunteers visit classrooms all around King County, virtually and in-person. We can also attend school-wide events like family nights and career panels. Ask our team about ways to connect your existing STEM, literacy, and SEL curriculum with high-interest animal topics.

Service Learning Ideas

Through service learning, students can engage in real-world problem solving while working toward a common goal. Animals at the shelter and in the community benefit from your students’ creativity, passion, and energy.
