Puppy Play Skills Sessions
At Seattle Humane we recognize that properly socializing young puppies is imperative to their future wellbeing. Because of this we offer a comprehensive puppy program that includes Puppy Play Skills sessions for puppies between the ages of 8 and 24 weeks of age. These sessions have been carefully curated to support young puppies while they learn important communication and life skills. Sessions are 45-minutes long.
Skills learned in these sessions are skills your dog will use their whole lives! Puppies learn skills such as ‘bite inhibition’, critical canine communication and play skills. Studies show that socialization is critical to the development of dogs. The best time to start is when puppies are 8-10 weeks old!
Puppy Play Skills 1
Age: 8 – 15 weeks of age
Weight: Puppy Play Skills 1 is for puppies of all sizes
*All puppies start in this class. Our skilled Puppy Coach will let you know if your puppy is ready to graduate to the older group. Puppies are put in small play groups based on size, age and play style.
Vaccinations: We require that puppies have received at least their first round of vaccinations from their Veterinarian prior to joining this class
Puppy Play Skills 2
Age: 16 – 24 weeks of age
This session allows puppies to continue learning and practicing important skills as they become teens.
Vaccinations: We require that puppies are up-to-date on their vaccinations in accordance with their Veterinarian’s guidelines
