Jelly arrived at Seattle Humane through a Lifesaver Rescue transfer on New Year’s Day and has yet to find the right family to take her home. Jelly is a very sweet and affectionate pit bull mix, and she loves going on walks, playing with toys, practicing her training cues and going on field trips with volunteers. Sadly, Jelly experienced physical abuse in a previous home, so she can be fearful and anxious in some new situations or with unfamiliar people. She will need a family that can give her time to settle into her new home and help her continue her training as she transitions from a teen to adult dog. Jelly is highly food-motivated and ready to learn! Due to her extended time at Seattle Humane, her new family can name her adoption fee.

Maximus is a very handsome shelter cat who just celebrated his third birthday at Seattle Humane, where he’s been looking for a family since last May. Maximus is very playful and enjoys receiving pets, though like most cats, on his terms. He will even play fetch! Maximus will do best in a family with lots of cat experience and who can read his body language to know when he’s getting overstimulated or uncomfortable. He will also benefit from his own private space inside his new home where he can decompress. Anyone wanting to adopt Maximus should understand that it will take time for him to settle into his new home environment. His new family can name his adoption fee!
