Licensed Vet Tech - temporary

Seattle Humane is seeking an experienced Licensed Vet Tech for our busy surgical program. Must be able to perform anesthesia and work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a multi-tasking team player. This is a temporary position that needs filled immediately.

Intake Associate

Do you find yourself wishing you could help both pets and people in your community? Seattle Humane has an exciting opening for an Intake Associate. This position involves assisting customers who need to surrender pets as well as supporting our lifesaver transfer program by transporting pets to SH from other shelters around the state. Applicants must be compassionate, have great customer service skills, love animals for this job. Must have strong communication skills, be able to motivate others, and maintain a positive attitude in difficult situations. Shelter experience and animal handling background will put you ahead of the pack! Must have good computer skills and be able to work independently. We are currently hiring for part-time Intake Associates.

Animal Care Assistant

Here at Seattle Humane, we care for hundreds of fabulous felines and cute canines every day and each one requires care tailored to their needs. From feeding and cleaning to grooming and moving, an Animal Care Assistant’s job is fast-paced and fun. Not only do you get to work with amazing cats and dogs, but you get to work with the best darn people around- our volunteers! Animal Care Assistants are the glue that keeps the shelter running so if you're motivated, hard-working, and interested in animal care, apply today! THis is a part-time position, shifts require at least one weekend day.

Seeking: Development Coordinator at Seattle Humane

Who We Are:
Seattle Humane is an independent, nonprofit, shelter committed to saving animal lives and improving the human-animal bond. Seattle Humane has a 98.3% Live Save Rate. Last year we placed nearly 7,000 pets into loving homes and provided income-qualified households with access to affordable spay/neuter services through our public spay/neuter clinic. The construction of our new state of the art shelter is well underway and we are hoping to open to be completed by November 2017.

Who You Are:
Seattle Humane is seeking an experienced Development Coordinator to join the development team. The Development Coordinator is a tech-savvy, creative, and self-motivated team player who can manage multiple projects and communicate well both verbally and in writing. He/she will lead the organization's grant writing and third party fundraising efforts, as well as supporting workplace giving. In addition, he/she supports SH events and special projects for the VP and Special Events Director, and provides administrative support on select projects. The successful candidate will offer exemplary customer service, excellent public speaking abilities, and flexible support for a variety of projects in our fast-paced environment.

Adoption Advisor

If you are a people-person who would love to help animals find a home of their own, this position may be just right for you! The Adoption Advisor is responsible for working with the public to match the appropriate animal to the interested applicant.  Your role will be to educate and assist our very special customers so they go home with their new best friend.  Customer service experience and animal handling background will put you ahead of the pack!
