We Have a New Look!
Seattle Humane has launched our updated website! This is still the place to find everything you need to know about adoptable pets, services, getting involved, resources and giving—we just have a fresh, new look.
Shop to Support
This season of giving, we invite you to shop and make a difference for the pets in our care. Whether you’re honoring a loved one or simply sharing the spirit of the season with a present for a two- or four-legged family member, every gift brings hope and happiness to pets in need.
Help Pets in Need
Give a gift of food or supplies for pets in the shelter, foster homes or arriving on Lifesaver transfers, or support pet families in the community with items for our Pet Food Bank. Check out our wish lists and learn more.
Saving Lives, Completing Families
Founded in 1897, Seattle Humane proudly promotes the human-animal bond by saving and serving pets in need. We are more than a shelter – Seattle Humane is a resource center for the region, providing adoption services, a pet food bank and support for pet owners, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and wellness exams, humane education for all ages and more. All made possible through the support of a generous community.
Schedule Your Pet's Wellness visit
Seattle Humane offers low-cost veterinary wellness exams for pets of income-qualifying families through the Wellness Clinic on our Bellevue campus. Routine wellness exams support your pet’s health, helping them avoid many contagious viruses, which can be fatal or very expensive to treat.
Time for Training!
Our dog training classes utilize positive, dog-friendly methods effective for dogs and puppies of all ages. We focus on good manners in the real world, socialization, and giving you the tools to prevent or address behavior problems.
Adopt a Special Kitty
Seattle Humane has a Ringworm Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program that sets families up with everything they need to care for these special cats and kittens in their new homes. While cats with ringworm are safe in our care, it can take up to three months for them to clear their infections, and that’s time better spent in a loving home.

Saving Lives & Completing Families
In our fiscal year ending March 2024, Seattle Humane served more than 113,000 pets and their people through our many programs.
And saved the lives of almost 6,000 shelter pets.
We are mindful stewards of your donation – nearly 75 cents of every dollar we spend supports the pets in our care and community programming.
