The shelter’s Schuler Family Medical Center is a high-volume teaching hospital. In addition to exams and surgeries for shelter pets, Seattle Humane provides affordable spay & neuter surgery, and wellness care, vaccinations and microchips for pets of low-income guardians through our Community Clinic. 

Our veterinary team provides high-quality care and low-cost spay & neuter surgeries to income-qualified individuals in King County. The clinic is open by appointment only.

Seattle Humane offers reduced-cost veterinary wellness exams for pets of income-qualifying families through the Community Clinic on our Bellevue campus, and pop-up clinics across King County. 

The shelter’s Schuler Family Medical Center is a high-volume teaching hospital where we train veterinary students in shelter medicine, a specialized field of veterinary medicine that focuses on providing medical care to animals in shelters.

Seattle Humane offers comprehensive medical services for pets in our shelter, in addition to serving as a training site for veterinary students from Washington State University and Pima Medical Institute.

Seattle Humane offers post-adoption support and veterinary services for concerns related to the time your new pet spent in our care. If your new pet exhibits symptoms of illness or post-operative complications within 30 days of adoption, our veterinary clinic may be able to help.
