My dad and I adopted Aspen on March 5, 2018. As soon as we met in the shelter yard, she had no interest in playing with the toys. She quickly rested her head on my dads shoulder and with no questions asked we knew she was the one. She was very mellow the first couple weeks. She did not want to go up or down our stairs so she stayed in the main living room. After she got comfortable, she was not shy in helping herself to the couch. She grew up to be quiet the counter surfer. She ate a whole box of Krispy Kreme donuts and a whole loaf of bread at one point She knew what she liked and didn’t like and she was not shy on letting us know. She loved chasing her squeaky ball, chasing RC cars, she loved riding in the back of her Daddy’s truck and she loved sleeping under the covers. She always had to be touching someone. But she loved food the most. She taught her sissy all sorts of tricks and they were inseparable. On September 12, 2023 at 3:25pm she lost her battle to cancer. We miss her dearly. When we were at the shelter we did not see her but one of the lovely people there told us about her and after meeting her we knew there is no better dog for us. Thank you to the people that told us about her.
