Employers Match Donations for Pets in Need

The COVID-19 global pandemic has significantly impacted many nonprofits, including Seattle Humane. In this time of great uncertainty, many businesses are stepping up to help and leading by example through matching their employees’ gifts to nonprofits and the causes about which they are passionate.

Seattle Humane’s largest matching gift donor is Microsoft, which donated more than half a million dollars in matching funds to our shelter last year. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Microsoft is encouraging additional employee donations to support nonprofits through the Give Together campaign. In addition to the $15,000 match that each employee receives each year for charitable giving, through the month of May, Microsoft will match up to $10,000 per employee  for gifts made specifically in response to COVID-19 impacts.

But Microsoft isn’t the only company generously stepping up to support the communities where their employees live. Many other companies are supporting nonprofits during this pandemic. Want to get more involved? Connect with your employer to see if you are eligible to have your gift for animals in need matched!

Information for Federal Employees

The Combined Federal Campaign, one of the country’s largest workplace giving campaigns, is also on the forefront of supporting nonprofits through COVID-19 by reopening its employee donation portal through June 30.
