Doggie Drag Contest | June 23

Dress your dog in drag to support people and pets! Your dog will strut their stuff on the Cal Anderson stage, and our panel of drag queen judges will determine the fiercest of them all.

Cal Anderson Park
June 23
Register your dog: 1-2:30 p.m.
Stage show begins: 3 p.m.
Fee: $10 entry fee/dog

Last year, the Doggie Drag Contest attracted the largest crowd ever at Cal Anderson Park Pridefest and raised over $400. All proceeds benefit the Seattle Humane Pet Project, which provides basic veterinary care, pet food, and volunteer support to pets of low-income people living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Because of your support, 200 people are able to keep their pets when they need them most.

“This is a fantastic service – for people like me, it puts our minds at ease because we don’t have the exorbitant funds for vet fees,” says Russell, Pet Project client since 1995.

Thank you to Jet City Animal Clinic for donating contest prizes.

Seattle Pride Parade | June 24

We are beyond excited for Seattle Pride! We invite community supporters to march alongside our mobile adoption bus and rescue van in Seattle Pride's 44th Annual Pride Parade!

The Seattle Pride theme this year is "Pride Beyond Borders." In animal welfare, we've seen how love transcends borders and unites people from all walks of life. We can't wait to support this year's Pride festivities and hope to see you there!

Stay tuned for more staging details and volunteer opportunities. If you'd like to march with us, please email marketing@seattlehumane.org so we can keep you posted with parade updates!

Well Hello There!

We adopted brother and sister cats who love to play, explore, and be loved. They're also great with our grandchildren and have brought a lot of fun to our household.
